No Doubt- It was live in Chicago

Saturday Night went and saw No Doubt live at the Midwest bank Ampitheater-Chicago- and they Killed it!!!

I have been a fan since the early 90's when Tragic Kingdom first came out and I have to say seeing them in concert felt like reconnecting with old friends.

First off I have to give props to Paramore. I actually LOVED them. I had only ever seen them on MTV one time, never heard themon the radio or anything like that, but live i though they were awesome. The music was so intense and once you were in it it was easy to get lost in the wave. Their lead singer Haley Williams sounded great and I loved the fact that she said she bought her jeans and Tshirt at Target 2 hours before the show. She totally seemed like the sweet but tragically cool girl girl in school that a first no one really paid attention to- then all of a sudden everyone catches on to how bad ass she is and wants to be her friend.-for such a small girl she had a huge, really strong voice, she was belting it out and she was so in the music. You could really tell that this band genuinely was appreciatvie of their fans and felt blessed to be on stage in front of 20thousand people and that made me love them even more. They were the real deal and I feel a little cooler myself for having been able to see them live.

When No Doubt took the stage it was crazy. The set was all bright futuristic white and they all wore whote. They all looked awesome and it was soo good to see them all back togethger again. The way they shoudl be. Especially if you know all of the history of this band and their members, hearing their older songs, and seeing them interact with each other was too cool. I

I secretely want Gwen and Tony to get back together get married and have kids. Gavin is OK. But I'm a true romantic at heart and they are first love.... I can dream right.

When Gwen sang Simple Kind of Life and sings " I always thought I'd be a Mom"' I thought how cool that she got that wish.

Being a crazy fan, you almost feel like you are part of that dream come true for her because you see it in the media all the time and witness ( via pap pics) all the moments etc...

I have to say I have never seen anyone command the crowd they way Gwen did. She was so interactive witht he crowd. She pulled fans on stage, she accepted gifts and drawings, she talked to them and signed shirts. This band loves their fans. She told everyone in the pavillion seats to turn around and look up at the lawn seats. It was packed. then she started singing and jumping up and down and they followed. it was a massive sea of jummping people . It was awesome.

When they did "Don't Speak".. you could barely hear her because the crowd was singing so loud. This crowd loved them.

They did all the hits all the faves, my favorites were So Many Different People, X girlfriend, which had a killer new video playing in the backgroud behind them and Rock Steady.

They had a really cool video playing at one point that was from their very first shows and them vacationon the road way back in the day when as teenagers and early 20s which just made me feel even more how lucky I was to be seeing them here now all this time later.
